Project: A European company entertained world wide clients in New York City. The client wanted the last evening of this event to be memorable, with a dinner and concert held on an Island in New York Harbor. The client required a concert hall to be constructed separate from the dining area for a surprise concert by the group Foreigner.
The venue had special time frames for installation and removal. All drawings needed approval of a German based company. Losberger was the ideal tent selection due to their familiarity with the tent system. All dimensions and weights were required to be submitted in metric. The tent contained corporate graphics which could not be installed until one hour before the guests arrival.
Both the performers and corporate client were very pleased with the concert hall having a panoramic view of the New York Harbor. The tented experience reinforced their earlier decision to use a unique outdoor venue.
Installing the project on an island was a challenge. The tent structure had to be partially staked and partially weighted. The flooring system was installed with 4 ft elevation. The ground could not be disturbed and sloping terrain was required. Losberger fabricated custom uprights from 4 m to 5 m for this project.
